Daniel Tate
COUNSELING INTERN
Daniel is a counseling intern at CCCRD and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Counseling at Cairn University. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Through his years in case management, Daniel has developed counseling-related skills through working with children and adults facing behavioral and mental health challenges, including children with ADHD, ODD, and autism, youth in foster care and abusive home environments, homeless adults experiencing mental illness, and elderly individuals with dementia. Daniel is interested in working with people of diverse ages and backgrounds, but is particularly drawn to support young men as he can relate to the unique challenges they face, and desires to help them build emotional health, self-awareness, and meaningful connections.
Daniel grew up in a Christian household where his father served as a pastor. He personally embraced Christianity in his early teenage years. Though his faith journey has not been perfect, he is grateful for the ways God has continually pursued his heart and led him into opportunities to serve and care for others. Daniel serves as a worship leader at his church and is often found behind the drum kit when not leading worship. He also enjoys co-leading a GriefShare ministry through his church. In his free time, Daniel enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outdoors, where he feels most connected to God.
