Teriz is a bilingual and culturally competent Licensed Social Worker in NJ. Teriz received her MSW degree from Rutgers University and a BFA from the School of Visual Arts.

Teriz offers Saturday sessions at CCCRD at the Princeton Office. She currently works full-time with diverse young adults in a large community mental health agency, using a DBT- and trauma-informed approach to treat clients with co-occurring disorders. Teriz completed extensive training in Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and uses an integrative, dynamic therapeutic approach customized for each person.

Through an authentic and collaborative therapeutic relationship, Teriz loves to know her clients deeply and appreciates the nuances of how each person is fearfully and wonderfully created by God. She is interested in helping people explore, express, and expand their minds and hearts with curiosity and compassion.

God led Teriz to leave a successful teaching career to serve in the mental health arena. Although Teriz has had many roles within professional and church communities in NJ and Egypt, she is most proud of simply being a child of God.

This year, Teriz is gratefully celebrating 20 years of marriage with her husband, their two (almost adult) children, and a cat named Sunshine. She loves studying and praying the Bible. She enjoys learning, laughing, kayaking, walking, reading, playing, photography, painting, writing, gardening, hot weather, hot drinks, and taking power naps.
