Shelby is a Licensed Associate Counselor and Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor at CCCRD. She obtained an MS in Counseling at Cairn University where she also earned her BA in Psychology. In addition to her work at CCCRD, Shelby serves clients struggling with substance use in an outpatient setting.
Shelby enjoys working with a variety of clientele from different backgrounds and experiences. In counseling, she seeks to empathetically engage with her clients so that they can feel heard, known, and respected. She is passionate about working with clients through relationship development, anxiety, depression, spiritual formation, and recovery. She has specific experience utilizing the DBT modality to help her clients overcome challenges in their ability to regulate emotions, communicate with others, and overcome challenges in their personal lives.
Shelby is an active member of her church and has experience serving in the church community. She and her husband got married after college and are excited to grow their family. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, playing games, watching a good TV show, and traveling to scenic places.
