Shelby is a Counseling Intern at CCCRD. She is currently finishing her MS in Counseling at Cairn University where she also earned her BA in Psychology.
For the last three years, Shelby has served as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Pennsylvania. There she worked with clients struggling with substance use in an inpatient setting.
As a Counseling Intern, she is excited to work with a variety of clientele with different backgrounds and experiences. Shelby seeks to empathetically engage with her clients so that they can feel heard, known, and respected. Her counseling interests include marriage, relationship development, anxiety, depression, and spiritual formation.
Shelby grew up in a Christian home and fully embraced her faith while she was in high school. She has experience in youth ministry, serving as a small group leader for middle and high school students in her church. In her free time, Shelby enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Colin, and close friends while cooking and watching TV shows.
