Kayla Larkin, LAPC
THERAPIST
Kayla is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor at CCCRD pursuing full licensure in PA. She received both her M.S. in Counseling and B.A. in Psychology at Cairn University.
Kayla has experience working with individuals of all ages across a variety of settings. Prior to being a mental health counselor, she worked as a behavioral health technician in Intensive Behavioral Health Services supporting children and their families. She also co-leads counseling labs at Cairn University throughout the school year to assist graduate students in their professional counseling training and character development.
Kayla enjoys walking alongside those struggling with concerns related to anxiety, depression, self-worth, trauma, chronic illness, relationships, executive functioning, sexuality, gender identity, and more. She is gentle, easy-going, and compassionate in her care and strives to give clients a safe space to be seen, heard, known, and accepted.
Kayla became a Christian as a child but made her faith her own in middle school. She personally understands how fear, trials, questions, and doubts can shake one’s faith, and she is continually learning about and trusting in Jesus's compassionate nature, which is the foundation for her work as a counselor.
In her spare time, Kayla enjoys spending quality time with her husband, playing piano and singing, playing video games, watching anime, and listening to podcasts. She has also been serving on her church's worship team for 15 years.
