Karen Hogan, LAC

THERAPIST

Karen is a Licensed Associate Counselor at CCCRD with a heart for helping others find healing and hope through both clinical insight and faith-based care. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, a Master’s in Psychology from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Lycoming College.

With over 30 years of experience as a paramedic and first responder in New Jersey, Karen brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those in high-stress professions. This experience informs her work with adults dealing with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, anxiety, depression, and occupational stress. She also works with children (elementary age and up), individuals, and couples navigating emotional and relational difficulties.

Karen felt a clear calling from God in recent years to transition into counseling, and she integrates Christian principles into her therapeutic approach for clients who desire it. Her approach blends evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with compassionate, Christ-centered care.

Outside the office, Karen enjoys being active in her church and small groups, cherishing time with her grandchildren, fostering animals, crocheting, and reading.
