Joseph is a Counseling Intern at CCCRD. He is completing his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and earned a BSW from Stockton University. He holds a Certified Social Worker (CSW) license in New Jersey and has experience working with youth and families across a wide range of needs, including behavioral issues, mental health concerns, and autism spectrum disorder.
Joseph’s therapeutic approach is rapport-driven and relational, which he finds to be essential to approach deeper clinical concerns. He has a particular interest in working within a trauma-informed framework for addictions, group counseling, youth and family systems, and elder care.
His previous experiences in the social work field include positions in specialized schools for students with autism spectrum disorder and mental health concerns and roughly five years in case management at a residential facility for traumatized youth.
At age 19, Joseph met the Lord, who radically transformed his life. When he’s not working, his hobbies include playing guitar, writing music, spending time with family and friends, creative writing, and starting every morning with coffee.
