Dawie (pronounced Dah-vee) is a Counseling Intern at CCCRD. He earned a BA in Pastoral Ministry from the University of Valley Forge, an MA in Pastoral Counseling from Crown College, and is currently completing his MA in Counseling, also from Crown.
Dawie has served as a pastor for over 15 years and has provided pastoral counseling to people of all ages and life stages in a large multiethnic church. Dawie has experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults as they navigate emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges. This includes grief and loss, parenting, managing stress, overcoming shame, premarital and marriage counseling, and more.
Dawie has been married for 17 years, and he and his wife have been foster and adoptive parents for over 10 years. They have two kids and five pets, which keep them busy! Dawie loves music, good food, a warm cup of coffee, playing games, and having fun with his family.
