Carol is a Counseling Intern at CCCRD. She is completing her MS in Counseling at Cairn University and also holds an MA in Writing from Rowan University and a bachelor’s in Romance Languages from Wake Forest University.
Carol is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages struggling through life’s challenging transition points—school, single life, marriage and divorce, raising children, and retirement. She especially seeks to walk alongside those in the midst of grief or seeking new pathways forward. Raised in the Christian faith, Carol cannot remember a time when she did not seek to follow Christ. In her work, she aims to apply counseling principles with a lens focused on caring for each person as a uniquely created son or daughter of God.
Through years of lay ministry in her local church, she has worked with children and women and, together with her husband, with young couples preparing for marriage. Being a wife to Mark, mother to five children, and grandmother to four are her greatest callings and sources of joy.
Carol is happiest when she’s at the beach with a great novel, laughing at Sunday brunch with her hilarious and maddening brood, or walking the family dog Fozzie at the local park.
